is with deep sadness that we will say goodbye this fall to
the the Creatures 'n'
Crooks Bookshoppe, specializing in Mystery, Fantasy,
Science Fiction and Horror. On July 1, owner Lelia
T. Taylor wrote to her customers:
Dear Friends,
And that---friend--- is what so many of you have become
over the years. All of us here have so appreciated you and
your loyalty, and this has been a grand adventure, but it
is coming to an end. Along with so many other local
businesses, we have been brought to the point of no return
by this dreadful economy. We will be closing
September 30....
Lelia will be filling orders throughout
the summer, so even if you can't stop in to say goodbye,
you can show your support by emailing or calling her with
an order for anything you've been thinking about
buying -- even if it's not in her field, she'll be
happy to order it or you.
Everyone at IMBA has enjoyed Lelia's
dedication, passion, smarts, and kindness, and the mystery
community will not quite be the same without her.
